Patient-Centered Engagement Gets A Boost

Franklin, Tennessee — Relatient is pleased to announce the completion of a growth equity round led by Powered Health with participation from Elsewhere Partners and other existing investors. This investment with additional venture debt through Square 1 Bank, a division of Pacific Western Bank, will fuel the continuous acceleration of Relatient’s mission to make the next generation of patient communication, engagement, and billing more accessible to healthcare providers and their patients.

“Relatient is becoming the digital front door to millions of patients for health systems and practices across the U.S. due to our unique automated patient outreach. Today, Relatient has the fuel to reach more customers and more patients faster,” said Michele Perry, CEO of Relatient.

Since the announcement of Michele Perry as CEO in 2017, Relatient’s bookings have increased by more than 50%. This growth has attracted top healthcare talent from industry leading technology and clinical organizations so that the number of employees has also grown 60% since January.

One of Relatient’s newest roles, director of customer success, will further focus on proactively empowering existing customers with best practices, reporting, and more. Other recent hires will help to expand market reach, customer support, and further speed the development of new solutions.

“Michele has demonstrated her excellence as a leader for Relatient. She continues to attract top talent from all over healthcare and every part of the business has continued to improve during her tenure. Our ongoing investment will ensure that she will achieve the goals and priorities we set for Relatient and its customers.” Jim Sohr, Principle of Powered Health and chairman of Relatient’s board.

“We are excited about Elsewhere Partner’s investment in Relatient. Relatient’s product is a generation ahead of the competitors we researched, particularly for multi-location groups and health systems. They’ve found a way to address the complex communication needs of health systems and large practices with many locations, physicians, and appointment types. Relatient makes it easy for administrators to automate best-practices. It’s an impressive team and we believe they are well positioned to take the lead in patient communication and the lead in patient responsibility collections, as we continue to see more of the burden of payment shifted to the patient, which requires a whole new generation of customer experience to ensure proper billing, collection and provider profitability that results,“ said John Thornton, Co-Founder and Principal at Elsewhere Partners.
